🏃‍♀️ When you stop running, something else becomes possible

Over the past few days, I’ve been sitting with what unfolded on Saturday - and also with the quiet messages many of you have sent since.

There is a theme emerging.

When a woman stops running from her spiritual past…

when she stops performing obedience…

and when she stops rejecting everything she once held dear…

A new question rises:

“If I am free - what do I choose now?”

This place is not dramatic.
It’s not a crisis.
It’s not a collapse of faith.

It’s a return to sovereignty.

And the moment a woman reaches this point, something subtle shifts:

✨ She begins listening for what still feels true.
✨ She begins letting go of what was inherited but never chosen.
✨ She begins noticing the difference between devotion and duty.

Not because she wants to tear down her past - but because she wants to reclaim her future.

I’m hearing from so many of you that this is where you are standing right now:

Not rebelling.
Not conforming.
Not abandoning.

But discerning.

And discernment requires two things that most spiritual environments never taught us:

1️⃣Time
2️⃣Permission

Time to sit with your real questions.
Permission to trust your inner knowing.

On Saturday, I watched a whole (virtual) room of women step into that space - possibly for the first time in their lives.

And I keep thinking:

What might happen if this wasn’t a one‑off moment… but an ongoing practice?
A space where clarity is cultivated, not rushed.
Where you can untangle your spiritual inheritance with maturity.
Where you can ask the questions you’ve been carrying for decades - without fear of judgment or correction.

I’m building something for exactly this kind of woman.

Something for those who aren’t looking to reject their past…
... but to understand it, integrate it, and choose their way forward with intention.

I’ll be sharing more very soon.

For now, I’d love you to ask yourself:

If clarity was allowed… what truth would finally surface?

I’d love to hear what’s unfolding for you.

Hi, I'm Orlagh, of Brigid's Forge

I'm dedicated to helping women in particular develop their spiritual path in life. I'm focused heavily on Brigid in Ireland, although not all my followers are! I teach, speak, coach and mentor people to help them along their own individual path, based on what lore we have, but also allowing for each individual path to develop as it needs to.

Ye may have noticed that it's Tuesday when I'm sending this and not Monday. Ye may also have noticed a distinct lack of an email last week. I'm sorry. Basically, my stress levels are extremely high right now. It's affecting food, sleep, cognitive ability, patience, everything. Which is why I'm in work before 7am on less than 3 hours sleep. I recognise this feeling. I'm getting closer and closer to burnout by the day. But - in a fine example of learning by the 4th or 5th time something happens...

Last year, Courtney Weber and I ran the hugely successful and powerful Brigid for Writers course. Four weeks of teaching on Brigid, related directly to writing exercises and magical practices. Not to mention the 3 study halls, where you get direct feedback on your writing! sign up here! Bríd libh Órlagh P. S. We start on 8th March, so don't miss it! On Saturday, inside Restriction to Freedom, something became unmistakable. When women are given space - real space - they do not actually want to run away from their spiritual past. They are trying to understand it. Again and again, what surfaced was not rebellion — but a desire for clarity. 🔍Clarity about what still feels alive. 🔍Clarity about what no longer nourishes. 🔍Clarity about what was inherited… and what is actually chosen. Many of the women spoke about how rarely they had been...
