After Saturday’s workshop, one thing became clear

On Saturday, inside Restriction to Freedom, something became unmistakable.

When women are given space - real space - they do not actually want to run away from their spiritual past.

They are trying to understand it.

Again and again, what surfaced was not rebellion — but a desire for clarity.

🔍Clarity about what still feels alive.

🔍Clarity about what no longer nourishes.

🔍Clarity about what was inherited… and what is actually chosen.

Many of the women spoke about how rarely they had been invited to engage with their spirituality in this way.

❌Not through obedience.

❌Not through performance.

❌Not through rejection.

But through discernment.

Through taking the time to ask:

  • What truly works for me?
  • What deepens my connection?
  • What feels like devotion - and what feels like duty?

This is a very different energy from rebellion.

It is engagement.

It is a woman turning toward her spiritual life with maturity, curiosity, and sovereignty - rather than fear or defiance. What struck me most on Saturday was this:

The women doing this work are not lost.

They are capable.
Often accomplished.
Thoughtful.
Spiritually sincere.

They are simply no longer willing to live inside structures that diminish their discernment.

This is not deconstruction for the sake of chaos.

It is maturation.

And I am beginning to see that there are more of you than I realized: women standing at this precise threshold.

Something is forming for you.

❌Not a rebellion.
❌Not a therapy circle.
❌Not a mass spiritual movement.

A space for women who are ready to move from restriction into chosen devotion.

I’ll share more soon.

For now, if you attended at the weekend, or watched the recording, sit with what you uncovered.

And if you didn’t, ask yourself:

❓If I wasn’t running away…

What would I actually choose?

Hi, I'm Orlagh, of Brigid's Forge

I'm dedicated to helping women in particular develop their spiritual path in life. I'm focused heavily on Brigid in Ireland, although not all my followers are! I teach, speak, coach and mentor people to help them along their own individual path, based on what lore we have, but also allowing for each individual path to develop as it needs to.

I want to ask you a genuine, slightly uncomfortable question today: When was the last time you consciously, intentionally sat down and explored your values - and how you actually embody them in your life? Not the values you inherited. Not the values you were told a good woman or a good believer should hold. Not the values you think you’re supposed to claim. I mean the values that you, in your adult, sovereign, fully‑alive self, truly hold now. Most women I work with realise: They haven’t...

This Saturday, I'm holding a clarity workshop. So often, women come to me and they know they're running away from something, but they're not 100% sure what they're headed towards. And this workshop aims to walk you through this. I'm looking to help you answer such questions as: ✔️What do I actually want from my spiritual life now? ✔️What did I value? What did I resent? ✔️And how do I create a meaningful spiritual path that nourishes—without recreating the rigidity I left behind? It's two...
