‼️Today's the day! Now or never...

Well ok, never might be overstating the case.

But today is the last day to sign up for Building a Daily Practice with Brigid if you want to finish the course by Imbolc 2025.

So, up to you!!

Now, I have to admit that emails over the next two weeks might be a bit hit and miss. I've just come back to work after two wonderful days with my niece, where we celebrated Christmas with all the Costellos (and my husband, who at this point, might as well be an honorary Costello!) The niece, who is almost 3, got spoilt rotten obviously.

The rest of us had food and drink, and lots of hugs from said niece. She's learned that giving her Orlagh a hug almost guarantees a treat, an extra episode of whatever cartoon she's watching or both...

But it's worth it. And I was clear from the day she was born that I'd be spoiling her rotten!!

So now, it's the last few days in work. In case I don't get to send an email next Monday, happy holidays to you, whatever holiday you do or don't celebrate this time of year.

For myself, the solstice will be marked in some way. My darling husband and I will be celebrating Christmas Day and Stephen's Day in our usual fashion: locking the doors and refusing to open them to god nor man for the two days. This year, our series to binge watch will be the Hobbit films. (Just in case ye're interested!

What will you be up to?

Hi, I'm Orlagh, of Brigid's Forge

I'm dedicated to helping women in particular develop their spiritual path in life. I'm focused heavily on Brigid in Ireland, although not all my followers are! I teach, speak, coach and mentor people to help them along their own individual path, based on what lore we have, but also allowing for each individual path to develop as it needs to.

A pic of the road outside my house. It shows the snow on te edges with the road looking black but very shiny in places. All slippy. Basically a glorified ice rink!

I hope all are well here. I'm snowbound. For those who don't know - Ireland is going through a bit of a cold spell this week. We had enough snow to be extremely problematic on Sunday/ Monday. That has now frozen over and we're due temps of -8C tonight. (17F for those not used to Celsius!) So, I'm stuck in the house and working from home. This, after my keyboard stopped working over Christmas and I'm awaiting a new one to be delivered. And considering I'm at the top of a hill that is currently...

I've had a few questions & queries about the Imbolc retreat, so here we go! Why six hours? Well, because I think that's how lonlong a day long retreat can feasibly last. Any longer, and we'll all be wiped out. Any shorter? Well, we'd be rushing. Is a blankie truly necessary? No, not 100% necessary. But I believe comfort is massively important whether meditating. So, if you have a tendency to cool down when meditating, keep something handy! What will the movement be? Will it be on camera? The...

I have exciting news today. I'm holding a virtual retreat on 1st February 2025. All the details are here. Now a few things to think about: Spaces are strictly limited to 15 people I opened this retreat to those who were on my retreat at the weekend already and a few spots have already gone I'm only opening it to my email list for now, but will be opening to the general public on 6th January. There is an early bird price available until 5pm Irish time on 6th January. This is a virtual event,...
