Well, for a start - it's bloody hot!! So, this could be summer and frankly, we've had a week of it. We've had an audit, we've had a few minor crises, including one of my making, there's been a lot going on. So I kicked them all off site and told them to go home. Now, am I an awesome manager? Well, obvs. But more than that. I claim the title of "oÃde". And there's links to leadership as well as education there. So, if I'm leading my team, I damn well am going to model the behaviour I want to see in them. Which means, at the end of a tough week - finishing up early and getting some quality time in with our friends and families. I'm not going to be lighting candles this weekend. No way in hell am I adding to the heat in the house. And pouring out water in Ireland just seems like a joke. But I can act in a way I think Brigid will be proud of. And I'm heading to Tramore later this evening - when it might have cooled down a bit - and go for a dip in the sea. So that will honour Brigid as well. But a) if you're in Ireland and still in work right now - fair play, but get the hell out as soon as you can. and b) if you're elsewhere and it's been a tough week - have a think about how you're going to balance that in your life. Yeah, Brigid doesn't go hard on balance, but that doesn't mean she completely ignores the need for rest. So do what you need to do! BrÃd libh Órlagh P. S. We're down to the last few days of my slightly off the wall sale in the school, using code ORLAGHBIRTHDAY45 for 45% off all courses. It's finishing at midnight Irish time, 15th July. So you have just over 4 days left to take advantage of it!! Check out the links below: Brigid's Forge School Patreon Website |
I'm dedicated to helping women in particular develop their spiritual path in life. I'm focused heavily on Brigid in Ireland, although not all my followers are! I teach, speak, coach and mentor people to help them along their own individual path, based on what lore we have, but also allowing for each individual path to develop as it needs to.
Yes I'm back talking about the Great Famine again. And we'll be moving onto our duties as members of society as well - again linked to Brig Ambue. Y 'see, I believe in practical spirituality. For me, unless we're practical about our beliefs and our practices, what's the point? I know plenty of people disagree with me - just look at the state of fundamentalism of all sorts in the US right now - but this is my standpoint. It doesn't have to be yours. Brig Ambue care about the ones who were...
I wanted to drop into your inbox with a gentle reminder — enrollment for Brigid’s Forge Collective is closing soon, and I’d love for you to be part of it. This is a six-month group coaching journey rooted in Brigid’s Path — the framework I’ve developed to help you build a spiritual practice that’s grounded, personal, and deeply aligned with your own values and needs. In a world that feels increasingly chaotic, it might seem like now isn’t the time to focus on spirituality. But I believe the...
I got out of the practice of writing last week. A week off work, followed by some major issues to deal with meant various things got dropped by the wayside. And a blog post and the emails were some of them. Fierce sorry about that, but it really was a case of prioritisation... I had a lovely weekend though. I sat on the couch on Saturday and didn't move. I think I did fewer than 700 steps all day. I needed it though. I came home on Friday night and I was tired. Like tired. Didn't make it to...
