A lot of you seem to enjoy last week's "life" update, so I thought I'd give it a go again this week. It's my birthday weekend! I'm 45 on Sunday, which also happens to be Father's Day here in the Emerald Isle. I was also born on Father's Day, so I keep saying I was obviously the best present Dad ever got for the occasion. He occasionally agrees with me... Am I celebrating? Hell yeah! I didn't get to celebrate my 40th as I wished because of bloody Covid, so I'm celebrating this year. the family are gathering this weekend to properly acknowledge my birth and Dad's ascension (or possibly descent) to Fatherhood. So I get to place with my darling niece and enjoy some good food and better cocktails! really looking forward to it. I'm taking all of next week off work, so I can get some time to submit some more college assignments. I'm having fun with these for the most part, but some of the references are already driving me cracked. Still, the aim is to get EndNote installed tonight and that will magically make all of my worries disappear. And then next weekend, I'm off to Monart with some friends. I can't wait for this - I'm planning on three days of swimming togs, relaxation and catching up on reading. And with my friends - we're in dire need of a good gossip!! Now, relating this to Brigid? Well, she's a practical engineer - she knows the value in a celebration. And as a healer, she knows the value of a rest. Because whether for body, brain or soul, we all need to rest ourselves appropriately at times. As for the poet - well, she'll come into play with my reading choices next week, don't worry. I have a backlog of books to read that I bought a while ago and haven't gotten to read, so all of those will be coming with me to Monart. So, if emails or responses to emails are more delayed than normal next week - please don't worry. I'm taking some time! BrÃd libh Órlagh P. S. Don't forget my birthday coupon, ORLAGHBIRTHDAY45, is valid until 15th July, so check out all the courses it covers here!! Check out the links below: Brigid's Forge School Patreon Website |
I'm dedicated to helping women in particular develop their spiritual path in life. I'm focused heavily on Brigid in Ireland, although not all my followers are! I teach, speak, coach and mentor people to help them along their own individual path, based on what lore we have, but also allowing for each individual path to develop as it needs to.
I got out of the practice of writing last week. A week off work, followed by some major issues to deal with meant various things got dropped by the wayside. And a blog post and the emails were some of them. Fierce sorry about that, but it really was a case of prioritisation... I had a lovely weekend though. I sat on the couch on Saturday and didn't move. I think I did fewer than 700 steps all day. I needed it though. I came home on Friday night and I was tired. Like tired. Didn't make it to...
Why yes, it is my birthday this coming Sunday. (Hence the coupon ORLAGHBIRTHDAY45 giving you 45% off any and all courses before July 15th) And yes, it is Father's Day. Those good at the counting will realise I was also born on Father's Day, meaning I can never really beat the first pressie I ever gave Dad. (Something I remind him of when giving him yet another pair of socks. Seriously - he doesn't drink any more, he has everything he ever wanted from a golf point of view - what's a girl to...
I thought I'd give ye a life update. Cos, y'know, things happen. And sometimes, Brigid works in mysterious ways. So, my doctorate started a few weeks ago. I am now consumed with college assignments again, although to be honest, some of them are fairly short. Like <200 words short. So I can live with that. What I need to do, though, is build some structure into my life and put aside the time for studying. I'm using the next three months of assignment time to get that sorted out. I mean, yes,...
