πŸ‘πŸš«Do You Believe This? I've news for you!

This week's blog post was describing some things that coaching isn't. And I got a fair few responses to it. Mostly along the lines of "I don't think coaching is for me".

😊 You know yourself better than anyone else, and I trust you to know what's best for you.

But I want you to consider a few things:

πŸ€” Who do you think coaching is for?

I used to think it was just for executives and senior managers. But I completely overlooked the number of "ordinary" people who use coaches. Whether it's for sports, health, or wellness, coaches are everywhere. Many people benefit from coaching, not just a select few.

πŸ‘« Do you have a trusted friend you can bounce ideas off?

Rarely do they offer solutions, but you always come away feeling more positive and engaged. That's coaching! Sometimes, there are things you might feel awkward discussing with a friendβ€”that's where professionals come in. You don't have to worry about taking up their time or it being an unequal relationship. A professional coach is there to put you first.

πŸ’ͺ Sometimes, it takes a stranger to ask the hard questions.

A coach can challenge your beliefs and help you uncover deep-rooted convictions that hold you back. A friend you've known for 20+ years might not question why you no longer go out dancing, for example. But a coach might push you to find new ways to enjoy dancing and get the same energy without the financial drain or the hangover!

Have a think about it. You might find yourself exploring how you might engage with a coach and how you might best benefit from one. Those who have connected with me will tell you there's no hard sell or anything, just a chance to ask me a few questions around Brigid, spirituality and that sort of thing.

Hi, I'm Orlagh, of Brigid's Forge

I'm dedicated to helping women in particular develop their spiritual path in life. I'm focused heavily on Brigid in Ireland, although not all my followers are! I teach, speak, coach and mentor people to help them along their own individual path, based on what lore we have, but also allowing for each individual path to develop as it needs to.

On Saturday, I finished up the Brigid for Writers series I was doing with Courtney Weber. We had a great time and we are definitely going to be working together again. I really enjoyed it. (Fair warning though, even aside from my political views, it is really looking unsafe for any tourist in the US right now, so my decree that I will not set foot in the place voluntarily right now is only getting stronger!) But Courtney asked me a question at the end that stopped me a bit - she asked what...

It's rare I go this long without emailing ye any more. Some of ye may be thinking it's rare ye get a break at all these days (if that's you, there's a button to unsubscribe down below, seriously, you won't offend me!) But I needed the rest. And I'm coming back feeling more energetic, with more ideas and more thoughts than usual. Want to more know? I've had a lot of emails over the last few days asking if I'm ok. I absolutely am. I had to go for a colonoscopy yesterday, which meant things were a little upset. There was a chance it would indicate some scary things like cancer, so, yes, I was very worried. But it turned out all right. There were a few small things taken care of, but the consultant is happy, my doctor is happy, all is well. So, thank you all for your concern, I really appreciate it. Things will be slower here in the Forge...
