โThis week's blog post was describing some things that coaching isn't. And I got a fair few responses to it. Mostly along the lines of "I don't think coaching is for me". ๐ You know yourself better than anyone else, and I trust you to know what's best for you. โ But I want you to consider a few things: โ ๐ค Who do you think coaching is for? I used to think it was just for executives and senior managers. But I completely overlooked the number of "ordinary" people who use coaches. Whether it's for sports, health, or wellness, coaches are everywhere. Many people benefit from coaching, not just a select few. โ ๐ซ Do you have a trusted friend you can bounce ideas off? Rarely do they offer solutions, but you always come away feeling more positive and engaged. That's coaching! Sometimes, there are things you might feel awkward discussing with a friendโthat's where professionals come in. You don't have to worry about taking up their time or it being an unequal relationship. A professional coach is there to put you first. โ ๐ช Sometimes, it takes a stranger to ask the hard questions. A coach can challenge your beliefs and help you uncover deep-rooted convictions that hold you back. A friend you've known for 20+ years might not question why you no longer go out dancing, for example. But a coach might push you to find new ways to enjoy dancing and get the same energy without the financial drain or the hangover! โ Have a think about it. You might find yourself exploring how you might engage with a coach and how you might best benefit from one. I'm dedicated to helping women in particular develop their spiritual path in life. I'm focused heavily on Brigid in Ireland, although not all my followers are! I teach, speak, coach and mentor people to help them along their own individual path, based on what lore we have, but also allowing for each individual path to develop as it needs to.
I hope this message finds you well! ๐ One of the biggest concerns I've heard about joining Brigid's Path Collective 2025 is the time commitment. And honestly, I get it. Six months of three group meetings a month and one personal meeting a month can seem like a lot. But here's the thing: we've designed this program with flexibility in mind. Why we spread it over at least 7 months: โ We understand that life happens. There are days when I can't make it or when a majority of the group can't...
I was asked a thought-provoking question in a group Iโm part of this week: What would your younger self be most proud of you for? (Donโt worry about the grammar here, folks, go with the intent!) My immediate answer was: โThat I can be myself. Fully and wholly myself. And I've stopped giving one fuck about what other people think of me, my actions, my appearance, any of it...โ I had to pause and recognize that for a minute. This is big. And, possibly more importantly, itโs true. There are, of...
I received many emails yesterday from people feeling bad because they can't afford to buy anything right now. I want to say I'm truly sorry if my message caused any pressure. That was never my intention. It was more of a "if you were thinking of it, please feel free to buy now because it will really help!" ๐ Please don't feel guilty if you can't support me financially, now or ever. You can still do Brigid's work in the world. And you can help by spreading the word about my blog and school to...
